Family time

Lately we have found ourselves plenty of things to enjoy around here. :) I admit sometimes we live for weekends, but I am happy that we are having fun together as our little family. We get to see our neighbor friends quite a bit too, especially considering all of the guys have weird work schedules. I felt like this weekend was especially relaxing and enjoyable so I thought I would share a couple of pictures with everyone. Thanks for reading!
Every night it seems like we get to see just beautiful sunsets! It was actually sprinkling a bit when I took this picture, but the entire sky looked amazing with yellows and oranges and then deep purpley clouds. I should take more pictures of the sunsets here!
Our happy little girl! She recently learned how to do summersaults without rolling over on her side, so she is quite proud of herself!
I think this was taken last week after one of the regular afternoon showers. It doesn't seem as brilliant on a picture as it did in real life... the kids were very excited about it!
They both love to read! I got them several Dora books that they are crazy about. One of them practices ABC's and counting to 10, and David is already really good at the counting part and he even sang parts of the alphabet song this weekend!
We had a visitor in our back yard on Friday. I was surprised to see how quickly they can go! He let me take a few pictures first before he ran away...that was awfully nice.
I was a little worried when I puchased this pool at the store a few weekends ago. I had to have one of the store workers help me CRAM this thing in our van (we had to fold it in half and everything) but it is SO worth it! I was wondering if I should have gotten the smaller one without the slide, but this pool has been such a great hit! The first few times they swam in it they did nothing but take turns sliding over and over, and I think they would have played in it all day if I let them! Today we were out in it again, and when they weren't sliding, they were filling up their little bowls to dump water on daddy. (It was really hot, so he didn't mind at all!) It just made me smile to watch them play and hear their cute little laughs...it was a lot of fun!
David loves his "lello" Bob the builder hat! He doesn't like the tool belt so much yet, but he has been known to wear this hat for hours!
